Master coal, I always wanted for different reasons to practice a cook to get carbon wood in Iceland. But in this windy area of Garður it seems it’s impossible. Luckily the sea is everywhere in this end of the end of the peninsula, and offer the important thing, the wood. Driftwood, comes from nowhere, « les bois des mers », certainly some parts of the big world tree Yggdrasil. I am very inspired to use this wood so important for Icelanders in old time. Coast farmers often plant this rests on the tree upside down, roots in the sky. This act, very symbolic in my mind, give in my carbonization a initiatic caracter.
